FIXTURES 2008 

Season 2008 will get under way with the traditional President’s open day which  will be held on Saturday, 26 April, 2008. 

Our friendly programme begins with a four rink men’s match at Topsham on Friday 2nd May followed by our first four rink mixed at home against Belmont on 3rd May.

Phear Park have entered a second team in the Over 60s triples league for the 2008 season and they will play in Division 7.  The “A” team will continue in Division One.  

The ladies section start their matches in the Unbadged League at home against Pinces Gardens on Wednesday 14th May.

EXETER & DIST OVER 60S TRIPLES LEAGUE, 2008 

A damp start to the 2008 season with the Division One fixture at Culm Vale being rained off. 

However, Division 7 sides are made of sterner stuff and Phear Park’s B team had a winning start to their campaign at Uffculme, winning overall by 40 shots to 28.  The rink of Peter Burch, Dave Martin and John Walker raced to an early 15-3 lead but the home side came back before Phear Park won 22=16. 

On the other rink Phear Park’s triple of Jim Letten (who claims he just qualifies as an over-60!). Brian Green and Gerry Sharland won by 18 shots to 12. 

The next fixtures see Phear Park take on Topsham B and C sides.
